This policy explains what Matcha collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

We collect account information such as your email address, saved résumés, job-search preferences, generated application materials, support messages, and records needed to provide subscriptions or usage credits. We also receive basic technical information such as request timestamps, device or browser details, and security logs.
How we use information
We use your information to operate job search, résumé analysis, application tailoring, interview practice, account synchronization, customer support, fraud prevention, and billing. We do not sell your personal information.
AI and service providers
Content you submit may be sent to service providers that help deliver Matcha, including AI generation, job-search, email, notifications, interview, hosting, analytics, and security services. Payment card information is collected by Stripe for web purchases or by Apple for App Store purchases; Matcha does not store full card numbers.
Storage and retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, billing, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You may request deletion, subject to records we must retain. Avoid submitting sensitive information that is not needed for your job search.
Security
We use encrypted transport, access controls, server-side payment verification, and operational safeguards. No service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your password and devices protected and notify us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
Your choices
You may access and update information through your account, permanently delete your account and associated data from the Account screen in the Matcha app, manage web billing through the Stripe customer portal, manage App Store subscriptions through Apple, or contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion. Deleting a Matcha account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple. Local law may provide additional rights.
International use and children
Matcha may process information in countries where our providers operate. Matcha is intended for people old enough to enter a binding agreement in their jurisdiction and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as Matcha evolves. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
